    Changes in citizens' attitudes

No, there is something to the racism. Sometimes it's conscious & other times unconscious but it exists. The darker you are the more 'suspicious' you apparently look. Also, the colour of prisons in America speaks to this issue a little more glaringly.

Have you ever tried to intervene when bullying/beatings happened near you?

lol Yes. Sometimes for the benefit of all parties, sometimes the benefit of one, & sometimes the benefit of none. Yet I still do it so that has to speak to something in me.

    Online Safety

WWW = Wild wild west You open yourself up to other people in ways you may not even be aware. Facebook is the worst idea to have open & available to everyone. I'm not even a fan of having it generally protected. It's ridiculous how many children are unaware of potential dangers. Stir some angst...

How do you like to be spoken too?

It's rare that I ever see an interaction where someone tries to approach any officer at any level in an informal way. 'Hey, Rick, this B right here hit me for no reason. You know how women be. Am I right?' No, I don't see that working out the way you want.

Do You Arrest Off-duty Cops For Infractions?

'Arresting' is rare. Dictating the account on paper is rare. It has a majour impact on their record when recorded. So, it usually works out that they handle it in house.

    Groupies

Short answer: Yes. It seems to be an incessant need of certain women to desire that idea of protection. That this guy can help you in situations other guys may have a difficult time helping you with. Stir that with some gun carrying & macho attitude & you have a recipe for a revolving door...

Do you feel any of the laws you have to enforce are wrong?

I would think it depends on where you are enforcing the law. It depends on the law, does it not? Not so much the officer. I can imagine if an officer agrees with what people are protesting but must keep the peace at said protest they may feel the desire to switch sides.

    Thanking your police

I've always thanked the police. I've always thanked firefighters. It's amazing how a few kind words could change the days of these people serving their community.

Federal judges declare cops can arbitrarily arrest hundreds of people

People who do assemble generally do not know the full extent of what that means. The truth is no one looks into protesting before they protest. I don't imagine they're researching how & where they can protest before they go out. Protesting is a form of disagreeing with the establishment so why...

    Just or unjust?

I think the unjust aspects of our system get far more attention but do not necessarily reflect the actual statistics. Stories about corruption & wrongdoing get more viewers/readers/payer attentioners than a story about a murderer who was caught & went to jail.

Would you rather be blind or deaf?

I thought I would say I want to keep my sight but I would never hear music. I wouldn't be able to play music. I'm not sure I could live without music. That's tough.

Are cops going after stolen phones at all?

There's no real priority (given my experience) in getting your phone back. Even if you have GPS coordinates. It sucks but I can understand why that seems to be. There are big crimes & this is a tad smaller than those.

    Quality vs quantity

I would love to say quality is of more value BUT think of it this way: As a criminal what's really more intimidating an officer who is really great at his job or a legion of okay officers coming to get you? I think it's an interesting question but sometimes the amount outweighs what it amounts to.

    Were/are you an attention seeker?

I wanted to say, 'Hence why you're a wrestling fan' but I thought that was too easy. No, I've never been one for too much attention. Not sure why it was just never a thing I wanted.

    Less police officers???

Perhaps it just generally has to do with people understanding you're not paid very well & you are taking an enormous risk? I'm not sure why numbers are down but I doubt it has to do with the publicity. There have been so many time periods where the police were accused of corruption (justified or...

    Dougnuts?

Very true this topic has been covered ten fold. I remember this being the sort of thing I would have posted once I joined. Perhaps a tad different...

Hit and run on a cyclist

100% correct. I wish it were a more surprising situation but it's a daily thing where I am in the states. It just seems like people have no sense of what's right anymore. This was a recent story that made me sickeningly sad to hear & see on video: Pregnant Woman Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In...

If I ever get in minor trouble... what's the best way to get away with it?

You know what's always worked for me? Make them laugh. If you're not acting super paranoid & stressed out they usually just chat with you. Make them laugh & maybe it'll be a tad easier to pat you on the back as you walk away from your life of petty crimes.

Video: NYPD Launches Retraining Program After Ferguson, Eric Garner

I'm glad they're getting on board with this training situation. They really need to work on communication skills over combat skills because it tends to be the officer turns to the thing he has trained the most in when these situations arise & they clearly train more in combat than communication.

Cop Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 2 Yr Old

Wow, talk about a combination for prison folk: Police officer who molested a 2 year old. Yea, you're definitely getting everything you deserve in there.
