Two juveniles have been arrested and charged in the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl that was streamed on Facebook Live, police said.
Chicago Police Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi stated both suspects are going to face criminal sexual assault, and manufacturing and distribution of child pornography charges. Both will be charged as juveniles, he added. The suspects are minors, and they will not be named.
"The young men responsible should be ashamed of themselves. They've humiliated themselves, humiliated their families, and now they're going to be held accountable for what they did," said Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson.
Authorities said the attack was viewed as it happened by dozens of people, and none of them reported it to police.
