A Pennsylvania substitute teacher in Cameron County has been arrested after police said he bought nude pictures of underage female students from one of their classmates.
Jon Raymond Serianni, 40, is accused of buying more than 190 pictures of “female juveniles in the state of nudity or sexually explicit positions†from a high school student.
Serianni is charged with counts including sexual abuse of children, criminal use of communication facility, corruption of minors and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, police said.
According to authorities, Serianni approached a student and asked if he had any photos, the student forwarded about 190 photos between October 1 and November 11.
According to court documents, Serianni allegedly agreed to pay between $15 to $25 per photo. The student told police that Serianni paid him less than $300.
A search warrant was served on Serianni's home and multiple items were seized, including 190 photos of young girls, who were nude or in sexually explicit poses.
Two laptop computers, video game systems, multiple digital memory cards, more than 20 compact discs, two external hard drives, cell phones and several cameras.
Serianni was released from Cameron County Prison after posting 10 percent of his $75,000 bail.
Serianni was ordered not to leave his home. He is not allowed to have cable or internet. He is not to have any contact with any of the victims, witnesses or their family members.
He is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing on January 22 at the Cameron County Courthouse.

Wow... I mean like, damn...

It really seems like people are slipping more and more away. Is that all life is now? All about recreation and perverted thrills?

A pedophile in another forum told me the other day that little girls are whores, and there's nothing wrong with grown men having them, and I gave up posting there. I see children as sacred gems to be protected with our life. They're our future. I can't see seeing them as sex objects, even if they are sexually active. Am I wrong to care about children and their safety?

And what I find so puzzling is how these same adults with no regard for the safety, guidance, and welfare of children, is how they complain about their own rights being violated by politicians. What rights can they possibly see for themselves if they can see none for children? What makes adults think that they are more important than children?

This sort of guy has a totally twisted mind, I am just happy he got caught and will not harm anyone else.

What a pervert, I am always glad when this sort of guys get caught, I hope this is an example to others.

I can't really understand the mind of a man like this. Porn exists for free on the Internet, grown up porn. All manner of happy naked women ready and willing to be naked for free even... yet, he wants to abuse children like this and perpetuate further abuse by buying photos from another minor.

The guy needs a baseball bat to the head.

Well done, he deserve to be in jail. What about the people that sold him the pictures, were they caught as well?

Sadly, this isn't anything new. It just so happens that as technology improves it allows it to occur a lot more and a lot easier. People like this just make me sick, and the boy who sold the pictures is no better, both seem like scum to me.

Because the man is a child and is sexually attracted to children. He's an adult in body but a child in the psyche. This is why we have the problem of pedophilia in our species. So never assume that people are adult-like in the mind just because they're adults in body.

A baseball bat to the head would change nothing.

People still have to protect their children.

Being a victim of sexual abuse, this story just makes me sick thinking about how low the girls self esteem had to have been to even offer to sell pictures of themselves. And this pervert took advantage of young girls who struggle with their self worth. It took me so long to learn to love myself. I still have hard days, but seeing stories like these reminds me of why I love myself.

It seems as though these people have no fear of the consequences of their actions. Is it even worth it? I mean you spend four years in college, maybe another year trying to find a job, and then you throw it all a way for a few moments of pleasure? I seriously don't get it.

It use to be that candy was sold amongst teenagers. Bubble gum and things like this. I guess they come up with all kinds of things today. The unethical one goes for it. I wonder how they caught this guy. Was it pictures of the girls that sold it to him or other girls? Oh, it says "he", it was a male student. I don't know, i guess it is one way to get rid of a teacher. It always boils down to making sure you always do whats right.
