start in the fall

[h=4]I have a question for you guys. I got the call yesterday and was told that I can start the police academy in mid August. To be honest I want to start the academy in the fall. If I was to ask them if I could postpone it until the fall, would that be a bad idea, will the agency look at that in a negative way?

If it was me, I wouldn't wait. You never know what might possibly happen later on.

I agree, you don't what could happen. The budget might get in the way and then they can take it away.
