A Rhode Island man has been charged with killing his 70-year-old mother.
The incident happened when 49-year-old Travis Frink went to visit his mother in the hospital. Authorities say Pamela Ferriere was being treated for an aneurysm.
Police said after asking his stepdad to leave the hospital room, the man allegedly shot his mom several times.
Authorities said the son admitted that he went to the hospital with the intent of killing his mom.
Officials say Ferriere was shot four times, suffering wounds to the abdomen, chest and pelvis.
Frink is being held without bail, he pleaded not guilty to the first degree murder charge.
