What kind of sick leave packages to they have for police officers? Most jobs have them? What's in place for police officers. In the USA it is a state funded job, so I'm assuming it would be something decent.
 
I would assume that they receive the same leave benefits as most other employed people, as required by the law. Perhaps they might have less freedom in choosing their leave dates, since they have shifts to attend to.
 
Yeah, I am assuming it's a common law, come on, when we are sick we are sick right, no one works when it's not fit to do it.
 
Sick leave is different from a normal leave. Sick leave are unplanned and fall under the circumstances of abrupt and a fortuitous event. You dont plan on being sick yet you become unfit to work, thus this privilige is given at any day of the year for police officers who want to avail it. It is with a leave with pay and you are provided with adequate health care by the government. We are only capable of doing so much thats why are are also susceptible to illnesses.
