Well yes I do, but a weapon is not always the beast thing. For one, they have to know how to use the weapon, and second they can't have any fear to us it. I know women who carry weapons but have a fear of using them.
I agree with you there. Women who haven't been properly trained and aren't comfortable shouldn't carry daily, although they still might want to consider a shotgun for home defense, particularly if they live alone. One of the first things they teach you about guns if you take a self defense course is that yes, this weapon is capable of taking another human life, and if you aren't prepared to do that then you shouldn't be here.
I hope and pray I never ever have to use my gun in the defense of myself or my family, but I am completely at peace with what the consequences of that might be.
