Perks for long term service

This question is for the guys that have made it into a career. Is there something to look forward to if you serve for over 20 plus years? The military gets something out of 20 years of service. Does the police force get anything after the magical 20 number?

My uncle is in the police service and after reaching 20 years in service you get an option to retire early. You get to receive a long pay as well which is in sync with how many years you have been in the service.
