Police Officer Jude Williams Lewis succumbed to his injuries on November 8, 2016.

Officer Lewis was involved in a single car crash and sustained critical injuries on June 1st, 2001.

He suffered a traumatic brain injury that left him unable to speak or walk.

Officer Jude Williams Lewis, 46, was with the New Orleans Police Department for three years. He leaves behind a sister.
