An Indianapolis man is accused of killing a neighbor's cat by attacking it with blow darts.
Jeremiah Long, 22, has been arrested and is now facing an animal cruelty charge.
Authorities say Amy Cohron went to search for her cat, Tippy, Tuesday night and found blow darts sticking out from his body.
“Pain went through my whole body because I was feeling his pain. He looked at me like ‘Mommy help me,’" she said. "I knew not to take the pins out because it could hurt him worse. I didn’t know how deep they were, all I could do was put him in the car so he wouldn’t run off until the police and animal control got here.â€
The cat was transported to a local veterinarian. Cohron said she had to euthanize Tippy because the darts caused so much internal damage. X-rays show ten blow darts hit Tippy. They struck the cat’s face, back, legs, and even in his rectum. The darts were around four inches long.

Cohran told police she knew one person with a blow gun, a neighbor named Jeremiah Long.
Police asked Long if he owned a blow gun. He “immediately said, ‘yes’ and ‘I shot the cat because it was fighting with my cat,’†according to the police report.
Long told the officer he didn’t call police because he “did not think it was important.â€
Cohron said she hasn't slept since the incident. "I'm so distraught," she said. "I can't sleep. I can't eat."
Long was arrested on a count of beating a vertebrate animal. He was released on Wednesday, his next court date is September 22. Prosecutors are still weighing what charges he will face.
Indianapolis Animal Care and Control also issued him a citation. Dawn Contos, spokeswoman for Animal Care & Control, said they are going to investigate the health of Long's pets.
