I need to buy boots for the academy

I am starting the police academy real soon and I need to buy boots to wear. I really don't have a clue on which ones are the best. What do you guys prefer?

I went with Danner GTX Strikers for the academy. They shine up real good.

I like the Ridge boots. They are so comfortable and they keep a nice shine.
