The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is searching for the suspect who tried to get away with a bank’s ATM using a stolen forklift.
The forklift was stolen from a construction site sometime overnight Monday and driven about half mile to the bank where it was used in an attempted robbery of a drive-thru ATM, authorities said.
Around 7 a.m. Monday, a police officer was notified by an employee at Synovus Bank about the robbery attempt.
When the officer arrived to the scene he found the forklift inserted into the damaged ATM machine.
Police dusted the forklift for fingerprints. Information about the suspect has not been made available.
Police say there wasn't any damage to the $135,000 forklift. An employee from the bank confirmed the suspect did not get away with any cash.

I don't know what people think when they do these things, steal an ATM with a forklift? What are the chances for success with that?

Now days people come up with all types of ideas in order to steal ATMs. I have heard of everything except for using a Forklift. It may have seemed like a great idea to him at the moment but then he probably realized that there was someone at the bank. Why don't they just get jobs like regular people instead of trying to steal.
