Fake cop pulls over real cop, police say

Fake it till you make it? One person who has probably played cop for too long suddenly found himself in trouble when while playing cop, he pulled over a real cop. It was bound to happen sooner or later anyway.

A man was charged with impersonating a police officer in Prince William County — when he tried to pull over a man who turned out to be a real officer.
The fake cop, identified by police as Shawn Michael Robinson, 27, of Alexandria, turned himself in to police later on Thursday

Makes me wonder how many fake cops are still walking around free.

Your right it was bound to catch up with him sooner or later. Still it amazes me how people think they can pull off something as daring and dangerous as impersonating a police officer. The penalty should be severe for this crime.

Every dog has it's day so goes an old English proverb. All our bad deeds sooner than later usually come out in the open and we will be held accountable. That imposter had most likely terrorized many civilians but his thieving days are clearly over.

Not only that, but if they were willing to impersonate an officer what's next? Who's to tell what that could potentially transform into.

Interesting. I know they made a movie about two guys deciding to impersonate police officers, and there was this funny scene where one of them had decided to make himself a general or something, and so he fooled them with that... But it is true that, apart from the possible humor of making a comedy out of it, it could have a lot of consequences! It really does make you wonder how many fake cops there are out there, and how to recognize them, and what they do...

I expect he wanted to rob the off-duty cop. I wonder whether he will actually be found guilty though - it appears that he didn't actually say anything to him, he just sped off as soon as the real cop identified himself. There seems to be little evidence to suggest what his intent actually was.
