Deputy Chief James Molloy, 55, died Monday, January 30, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Long Island with his family by his side. He died as result of 9/11-related brain cancer after a very long struggle.
“Deputy Chief Molloy is as courageous a guy as you can find,”said Roy Richter, head of the Captains Endowment Association. “He led search efforts tirelessly at Ground Zero."
Chief Molloy leaves behind his wife, and two daughters. He was with New York City Police Department for thirty five years.
