I would be afraid of being locked up somewhere in which nobody knew where I was. At least in a jail or prison, it is public knowledge and something would happen if cruelty were taking place. Secret prisons are a recipe for disaster. There are always people out there who look for power and control and could do some horrible things to prisoners if there is no oversight or if none of us know they exist.
