I saw somebody playing a gameboy. This was recent, in the year 2014, playing a vintage 90's era gameboy. Steering with their forearms, both hands on the device. Geesh!
I think these stories are so stupid and so sad at the same time. I feel for both sides, completely. People forget that police officers are people too, and I can't imagine it's easy to shake off a senseless death on their hand. But they have to be defensive and cautious at all times, so you can't...
One of my favorites is Criminal Minds. They investigate the psychology behind crimes (hence the name! ha) and it's really interesting. I've always been very interested in criminal psychology so there's always a story that intrigues me.
Absolutely not. You have an instinct as a parent to protect your child from any uncomfortable situation, not to mention safe situation. You have every right to protect your child and it isn't overreacting at all.
I also hear this as an excuse frequently and it gets kind of old that people can't take personal responsibility for things. I wouldn't mind if there was a quota, maybe a loose on, because it'll show that they're paying attention and focused on enforcing the law.
That's too bad. I respect anybody's freedom of speech, but I think when you're using your podium of profession as a way to make your opinion heard, you should face the discipline of putting your opinions out where they don't belong. There are things that I would say about my work at home, but I...
I think it would be interesting to see what law enforcement is like in different countries. I don't think it would be difficult to implement, because it can just be it's own forum. Good idea.
Yeah of course. And they have to keep up the drama. I'm sure the stories that happen in the shows are not the same stories encountered frequently. Maybe once every so often, but not as often as in the shows. It's still fun for mindless entertainment.
I'm a big fan of all of the Criminal Minds, Castle, NCIS, Law and Order, CSI mumbo-jumbo. Don't get me wrong, I know they're completely silly, but they're just entertaining. Living the life day-to-day, what do these shows completely get wrong (besides the obvious things like zooming into a photo...
Whoops - I can't edit the title but I meant to say **MOST** unique experience.
Maybe it's something funny that happened, or maybe something truly heartbreaking. Maybe it was a kind gesture you did or had bestowed on you. Maybe camaraderie between other emergency responders/law enforcement, or...
I don't think there's an objective age on firearm safety. I mean, we can all agree that.. say, toddlerhood, might be a little too young. But generally speaking, it's completely subjective as to the age when you're speaking about motor skills, responsibility, discipline, respect, understanding...
That doesn't seem right to me at all. I think the worst thing that can happen for gun safety is a prohibition and ignorance on it. Children are naturally curious, so I believe it's best to educate them on everything they possibly can learn about so when the topic does come up they aren't naive...
I hope not. I was pulled over for not having a front plate and I was more interested in discussing the police officer's new vehicles than I was worried about getting a ticket, because they're driving brand new fords and I think they look awesome, haha. I don't think he minded talking about his...
Absolutely. I just mentioned this in my intro topic, but I'm really tired of seeing how it's a "cool" thing to be against cops. It's becoming a positive social activism thing to riot against law enforcement when it should be the opposite. I think this is causing police officers to be more...
