What happens when a person has two arrest warrants and lives in another state

I used to live in Vermont, but I recently moved to Florida. What happens when a person has two arrest warrants and lives in another state?

If police stop him for some reason, he would then be detained and the authorities would then contact the state that has the warrants. They would decide if they would come pick him up and take him back.
