Police rescued an abducted woman after two alert teenagers called 911.
Aaron Arias, 19, and Jamal Harris were next to another car at a red light in Seagoville, near Dallas when they noticed her mouthing "help me" from the backseat of a vehicle.
Immediately sensing something wrong the teens called the police.
Arias told the dispatcher; "I'm witnessing a robbery, not a robbery, a kidnapping."
“I'm on the highway, It's me and another guy, so we're checking out the girl in the backseat because, we're like, 'OK, she's kind of attractive," Arias says on the call.
"And then, all of the sudden, you know, the guy is turned back, looking at us."
The two boys followed the vehicle on U.S. 175 for a few miles until officers caught up to them. Police responded within minutes and pulled the car over.
"Thank God. You guys are awesome!" Arias shouted to the dispatcher at police arrived. "Oh my God. Oh my God. Get him! Oh my God!"
The woman has not been identified was unhurt in the incident.
Arias told reporters the woman hugged him and Harris after the rescue. “I would describe it as the best hug I have ever gotten,†he said.
Police found a gun and knife inside the vehicle when they apprehended the suspect.
Charles Atkins Lewis Jr. was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping. He is being held on $50,000 bond.
