opinion on public perception of Law Enforcement

I would just like to ask what is your opinion on public perception of Law Enforcement. Do you feel it has changed at all while you have been working, for better or worse?
 
Depends where you are. I am in a small department where we pretty much know everyone in town. I think we are well liked and looked at as the ones who keep the trouble out of town. I am sure it is much different in a big city.
