Authorities said a police officer has been stabbed in the neck at Bishop International Airport in Flint, Michigan.
Several witnesses stated they saw the officer bleeding from his neck and a knife was nearby on the floor.
"The cop was on his hands and knees bleeding from his neck," witness Ken Brown said. "I said they need to get him a towel."
The police officer was taken to the hospital where is in critical condition.
Officials said the airport was evacuated and will stay closed until further notice.
The suspect has been detained.
FBI officials said it is "still unclear" as to whether there is any connection to terror.
