Online dating CAN be dangerous or for this one woman disenchanting. This woman's prospective Prince Charming proved to be more repulsive than charming. On date 1 he thought it would be a great idea to steal this lady's car who craved for love leaving her with a broken heart, stranded with hardly enough money to get a taxi home. The bastard was arrested on Saturday.

Moral of the story? Trust no one you meet on the net. It doesn't have to be a dating site. People make friends on social networks and think that those people actually think they are real friends. Luckily for this woman, she lived to tell that tale.

No one can be trusted nowadays. People should always be alert and attentive. There are really going to be potential dangers when you meet people online.

What an idiot, because he could be traced somehow. I wonder how long they had been communicating, but still what he did was low. No wonder he is single and will stay that way for a long time. She should out him on social media too so no one will fall prey to him again. It just makes you wonder what else he would have done?

I agree, you never know who your dealing with. I think if you attempting to meet someone online you should ask for some references at the very least. It's still dangerous no matter how you look at it, but on the other hand the risk is similar if you meet someone in a bar or anywhere out in public.

Lolz i steal something in their memory like some remains of what we ate, like the cup or her bangle, and i later tell them, but this seems more than a petty theft.A car..?
Makes me believe now that no on the internet is to trusted without a proper background check.

What a rotter. He deserves to have the book thrown at him for deception as well as theft. Having said that, I do hope the poor lady isn't put off dating for life now - she just needs to be more careful.

Wow! Talk about the date from hell! What made him think he could get away with it? At least he didn't kill her!

I don't think the internet is to blame for how cruddy people normally are. I'm sure if she met that person at a bar he would have seen his opportunity to take advantage of her either way. The truth is people just normally suck. You should always be weary until you really know who they are.

Although there is no mention of it that he wanted to take advantage,i surely am starting to think, what if was desperate.
Do u have any updated articles that we could read through.

yes, people that we meet on the net should not be trusted all, because we might think we know them, yet we barely have a clue of whom they truely are, am glad her car was recovered, I do hope that they both learnt their lessons.
