An Indiana man is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death, then eating portions of her brain, heart and lungs.
Joseph Oberhansley, 33, has been charged with murder, abuse of a corpse and breaking and entering.
Police showed up to the house around 10 a.m. after someone called to report Tammy Jo Blanton hadn’t shown up for work. Oberhansley answered the door and was acting suspiciously when police questioned about Blanton’s whereabouts. They did a quick search and discovered Blanton dead under a plastic tarp draped over the bathtub. Her body was in the bathtub with parts of her skull had been removed.
Police say Oberhausley confessed to stabbing Blanton to death and “cooking a section of her brain and eating it.â€
Authorities say when they arrested Oberhansley, they discovered a knife in his pocket soaked with blood and covered with hair from the victim. He also had fresh cuts on his knuckles, according to a police affidavit. Police also found tongs covered with blood, a skillet and human remains in the garbage.

When Oberhausey made his court appearance he told the judge they had the wrong person. He said his name was “Zeus Brown,†he also said that he didn’t know his age and if he is a U.S. citizen.
“After you’ve been prosecuting for so long, you think you’ve seen everything,†Prosecutor Steve Stewart said. “I’ve never seen this.â€
An autopsy report showed Blanton died from multiple stab wounds and parts of her heart, lungs and brain were missing.
Oberhausey is being held without bail. His trial has been set for Feb. 16.
