I got a citation for marijuana possesion, what is going to happen? I'm 21 and last night I was in the car with some friends. An officer came up to the vehicle and asked me for the weed. It was less than a gram and he gave me a ticket to appear in court. This is the first time I have to go to court, I have no idea what will happen, should I plea guilty? Is this going to be on my record? What will happen?

Yes it will be on your record if you are convicted. Most likely you will receive a fine and maybe some community service work.
