How Not To Avoid Arrest

The best way to avoid arrest is by . . . being a law-abiding citizen.

One man who valued his freedom greatly having been informed by police that he was under arrest decided to try something which would disgust the police officers so greatly that they would let him go free.

The man, who police say was intoxicated and couldn't stand without swaying, once he learned that he would be arrested told police that he was walking on dog poop which was on the sidewalk.

Officer Stanley Wychock advised the Franklin that he was under arrest and told him to place his hands behind his back, police said.

At that point, Franklin allegedly jumped to the ground and started rolling in dog feces. He then allegedly stated that officers could not arrest him because he is “covered in (expletive),†police said.

Even though he was covered in dog poop, he was arrested anyway.

That's naive.

You probably don't frequent too many people who get racially profiled, or people from trouble communities. Or people who protest in the streets for social justice and who get arrested for no good reason.

Why is everything always about race? There is no denying that racial profiling is a big problem but that doesn't mean one shouldn't obey laws [or try to] simply because they are more likely to be arrested [because they are Black or Latino].
