Yesterday I was in a parking lot, when I was backing out of the parking spot I bumped into a delivery truck. I didn't see any damage to the truck, I was scared so I took off. I couldn't take the guilt so I went back an hour later but the truck was gone. If I go to the police station to report the accident will that count for something? Is there a chance I would be charged with the misdemeanor. The only thing that was damaged was my tail light, I hit the trucks bumper which is higher up. There was no damage as I could see, not even a scratch on the bumper. I feel that I should go to the police department to report it, but I don't want to get into alot of trouble.
