Has anyone been shot?

There is no way I want to ever be shot in my life. With that being said, I hope to never experience it and will never know what it fees like. So I am curious if anyone that has been shot can describe what it feels like? I've heard that it does not hurt like people think it does. Then again I have also heard that it is tremendous pain. I guess this could depend if there person is really hyped up or at rest when it happens. If anyone can describe it, I would be very interested to know.
 
I've never been shot, but I once saw someone get shot in broad daylight. I was about 14 or 15 when I was walking home from the store. The apartment building that I use to live in had two gates to go into. Well, I was in the first gate when I looked back for some reason and I saw some kid (he couldn't have been that much older than I was at the time) get shot in the back of his head. It's something that I try hard not to remember but always will.
 
If you ever are shot in the joints,that is the ankles or anywhere apart from fleshy region,you are bound to experience some excruciating pain,else it will just be embedded in the flesh and te pain will be minimal.
 
I've seen a couple people shot when I worked in downtown Cinci on night shift. From what I understand, it feels like fire has entered your body. Being shot in certain areas just hurt a lot more and they type of bullet will make the pain vary. I had accidentally stabbed myself in the hand (story for another post) and was at the ER for stitches, when some guy walked in holding his intestines. He had accidentally shot himself in the stomach with a shot gun. I'm going to assume the only reason he was walking was a mixture of adrenaline and shock.
 
I hope to God that I never have to experience this. Possession of guns is illegal in my region. Only the elite in my society are given a permit to carry a gun. I was very surprised when I discovered that there are some areas in the world where someone can walk into a store and buy a gun.

Yeah, in my country it's illegal too. Here is very strange to see a real weapon, unless the one which is wearing it is a cop or one from the militars. They expend licenses for hunters, but that's all.

So no, I've never been shot, thank god, unless you count as a shot the ones I've received playing paintball xD
