A number of years back a cannibal killed someone who'd answered an internet post seeking a young man who wanted to be slaughtered and eaten. Despite his attempt to prove it [the murder] was a mercy killing he was found guilty of murder anyway.

Recently a German police officer who killed a man "that fantasized about being eaten" was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 8 years in prison.

Wow, definitely a travesty of the highest order! I mean, what's wrong with these people, are they well? Just because someone wants to be eaten, they are happy to oblige?! It's just bizarre. Does it not occur to them that said person may not be sane? Well, my worry is this police officer will serve his 8 year prison sentence, quite possibly less if he behaves himself, come out and start eating more people!! He needs to stay locked up, he's a very dangerous individual!
 
I remember this case at the time, but the law is taking the life of another even if it is consensual. It was considered immoral and wrong, so why these ads were allowed to run who knows? I think now they would be picked up on and stopped or even banned. You can't advertise for illegal acts.

Eight years is not long enough and these sites should be monitored by the police. Forget the freedom of speech and liberty, these people incite and encourage others to do criminal acts.
 
I think both murderers got their victims on forums. Whilst discussing cannibalism some forum members may create threads saying that they'd like to be eaten. The psychos then reach out to them via Private message. Even if cops monitored these sites, they'd still not know [even though they might suspect it] that someone [the thread starter] would end up murdered.
 
What a crazy story. I wonder what on earth it is that drives people to want to be eaten? And what drives others to want to eat them?

Even though this appears to be consensual cannibalism, I am concerned that 8.5 years in a regular prison is nowhere near enough. He clearly needs some kind of psychiatric intervention if we want to ensure he doesn't eat someone else on being released.
 
Wow, psycho gets killed by another psycho. I guess we should really be careful about what we post on social media sites/forums because we never know if there's someone out there who takes everything literally of what you're saying. And also, be careful what you wish for.
 
Cannibals should never be allowed in society! It goes without saying what their next move is. If they are not responding to these insane adverts, they are certainly satisfying their bizarre needs somewhere, somehow. One does not have to wonder about whether they will continue on this evil streak, and for this reason they should be kept locked up.

The desire for eating human flesh is what probably makes people join evil satanic cults. So much as some of these cannibals might be arrested and sent to jail there are thousands more who walk around free. Could be that a number of those people who go missing end up being eaten by cultists who are cannibals. Arrest all satanists and we'd have fewer cannibals in circulation.
