A central Florida man was arrested after police said he allegedly punched an 80-year-old man who asked him to stop cursing at an Applebee's restaurant Sunday.
Mikie Sawyer, 26, was charged with disorderly conduct and battery on a person 65 or older.
Port Orange police say Harry Sander was eating dinner Sunday evening when he heard Mikie Sawyer repeatedly using expletives. Sandler said he walked up to Sawyer and politely asked him to stop cursing so loudly.
According to authorities, Sandler leaned in close to Sawyer and said "in my Germany, you don't speak in such a manner."
According to the police report, Sawyer replied, "I don’t care where you are from, whether it be Russia or Dutch."
Sawyer told Sandler to go sit on the other side of the bar. When he didn't move, Sawyer punched him in the face, knocking him down to the floor.
Sandler was treated at the scene, he told police he didn't remember much after that.
Sawyer has since been released from Volusia County Branch Jail after posting $2,500 bail.

I wonder what an 80 year old man was doing in a bar annoying people, but this guy didn't have to hit him as well.

It is very important to be careful when you decide to talk to a stranger. They may be looking for a target to punch. Today majority of people have so much unresolved anger that they do not know how to deal with it. Hitting an eighty year old man is so wrong because he is venerable and cannot fight back. A moment of anger will cost Sawyer many years behind bars.
