Does Criticism Dampen Your Spirits?
Truth be told, when there's something a bad cop does something stupid, the police get bad press. They focus on the negative and even intimate that all if not most police officers tacitly support whatever was done. Such kind of criticism could demoralize someone who's doing their best. Words may not kill or break bones but they can hurt worse than anything that can break bones. Question though is, how do cops take bad criticism when they get it from the same people they "serve and protect?"
