Can we outlast the drought?

The effects of global warming has brought unprecedented change in global weather patterns. As the world population continues to soar,we can expect more harsh weather conditions not only in California but the world over.

This is very true. The weather has shifted a fair bit since from when I was a kid - some winters are harsher, some summers feel too drought-y and overran with public wildfires. I can only attribute this to overpopulation. And global warming.

Though from friends from SoCAL told me about their wildfires and it makes me happy I'm from the east coast, but we still get our fair amount of problems over here. Instead of the weather trying to kill you, you got whackjob nutbars. Tradeoffs. I'm sure you find these anywhere TBH, but they are in spades around here.

Yet we all make decisions that contribute to our downfall. Especially our governments.. then they put it on us to change, when they're contributing the most "on our behalf".

Despite all the evidence that climates have changed some people still say that climate change is a lie. Yeah, right. But things aren't as bad as they've been projected to be. Yes we'll have some bad years but we'll also have what might be called "normal' years from time to time. As for the California drought:

Panel Warns 4 Years May Not Be The End For California?s Drought

Californians should brace for a possible Australian-type of drought. That country was hammered with dry conditions for 10 long years.

10 years!

I think each place/country around the world is suffering from global warming, not just California. Look at how bad the drought is in Africa. I think it's some sort of a warning to all of us that we should start having sympathy towards our mother nature, start taking care of our environment, and be more eco-friendly.

it is their arid environment and lack of planning. If they use their resources wisely they really can come out of it.Maybe some strict regulations or enforcing some laws should suffice.Hoping things get back to normalcy. The crisis is felt everywhere. We really need to find a cheap way to make sea water potable.
