Buying a Used Police Interceptor

I'm thinking buying a used Police Interceptor from auction. I'm looking to get a P71 Crown Vic from about 2007-2008. Hoping to get one with fewer than 150K miles. I'm looking from officer input on picking one. Would you recommend one from PD, sheriff's office? What little things should I be looking for that I may not think of otherwise? Any input would be appreciated.

I don't know much about specifics to look for in buying one, guv, but I do know two people who have bought retired police department cars at auctions, and they seem to be a great value. They are nice beefy cars with lots of power and hold up to tons of abuse. One guy has had his for over 10 years and it runs as good as the day he got it. And it had over 100k miles then!
