A federal air marshal has been arrested and accused of using his cell phone to take pictures underneath women's skirts as they boarded a plane at Nashville International Airport.
Nashville police arrested Adam J. Bartsch who was on duty at the time of the incident after boarding Southwest Airlines flight 3132, which was leaving from Nashville to Tampa, FL.
A witness, who allegedly saw Bartsch taking the pictures on his cell phone, took the phone away from Bartsch and then notified a flight attendant.
Authorities say Bartsch allegedly admitted to taking the pictures has been charged with disorderly conduct.
TSA spokesman David Castelveter said, in a statement, "TSA does not tolerate criminal behavior. The agency has removed this individual from his current duties and is in the process of suspending or terminating his employment. TSA is cooperating fully with investigators."
TSA said that Bartsch was removed from duty and the TSA is assisting with the investigation. They also added they are in the process of suspending or terminating Bartsch's employment.
In a statement, Southwest Airlines said, "We removed a passenger from Flight No. 3132 from Nashville to Tampa prior to departure due to a Customer concern that was brought to our attention. We turned the matter over to local law enforcement, and the passenger did not travel as scheduled. The rest of the passengers and crew continued on to Tampa as scheduled."
Bartsch was booked and later released on bond.
