The Lake County Sheriff's Office says three schools were evacuated Monday morning after a series of bomb threats similar to those that evacuated schools in Seminole County on Friday.
Law enforcement have since searched and cleared all three schools after no suspicious devices were found.
Authorities say threats were called into Clermont Middle School, Cecil E. Gray and South Lake High School throughout the morning. The first call was made at South Lake High School about 8:45 a.m., followed by calls to Clermont Middle around 11 a.m. and Gray Middle, also in Groveland, around noon.
Students were moved to the football field at each school, said district spokesman Chris Patton.
When asked if thought the bomb threats were the result of copy cat caller, Patton said, "I would say definitely, but I'm not law enforcement."
This incident comes after eight elementary schools evacuated Friday after bomb threats were called in to Seminole County school district. The FBI has now joined the investigation.
