Will having a bad family history prevent you from getting into the LE field? Both my parents had a drug problem when they were younger.

If you were entering LE field today, would you change your preparation in any way to facilitate entry compared to before?

Could bad credit hurt my chances of getting into the LE field? I think my score is some where around the 500-550 range.

I live in the NYC area, attending college, majoring in criminal justice. I am interested in CJ/LE field wherever I end up, and that's why I picked this major. If I decide to pursue this job, I'd be applying to whatever's open like FBI, ICE, ATF, etc. what can I do to be a better candiate?
