If it's something that is not working correctly I agree that it should be disabled, I mean, it's something that it's suppose to help, not cause damage.

This issue is not exclusive from Texas, I mean, guns are all over the country and it's really a cultural problem. The authorities need to rethink this gun culture if they want to reverse the current state of things.
As long as he is isolated from society we are better off really because he is a danger to society and for me it makes no sense to give him the possibility to kill again.
Of course that the judge lost his head and most likely his career too. A person in his position can't have such actions, it's a position of responsibility and paid accordingly.
It's about time than "less-lethal" means to control the population appear because random killing in self-defense doesn't make sense. If non-lethal technology exists, let's use it!
I am not sorry that they don't have the death penalty because I am against it, but I do agree with you regarding the life in jail sentence, I hope they can get that.
The most obnoxious police officers I've met are those that are too lazy to do their job correctly or to arrogant, treating us like if they are superior. Gladly there aren't many of those around because they give a bad name to the police.
So she turned in her own kid? That is brave from her, but at the same time most likely she just wanted him to recover to a better life, so I think it was a good measure.

This is some scary news, how did the pervert managed to get in? In fact, it's great that he has been caught, but they should be more careful in the future.
I think that the most hard has to be the physicals. I know people that failed because of them and needed to train a whole year to try again, they are really demanding.
Police officers have to be prepared for stress, but I think that the best way to fight this is to know that there is a structure that works and that supports them and a population that needs to be protected.
