    In the beginning my parents were totally against the idea. After seeing how happy I was being an Officer they warmed up to the idea. Now everytime I see them, they tell me how proud they are of me and my career choice.

    My agency doesn't. Not really sure who does, I think California has been doing it for years.

    Keep your head up. If you truly want to be an officer you won't quit, no matter how many times they pass you over. Just be ready, it will happen.

    If you hand him your DL and CCW license that would be great. Have your hands on the steering wheel and when he walks up to the window just don't have the first thing out of your mouth be " I have a gun".

    It is a great job, I love what I'm doing but it does take its toll.

    Start now, It's a long process. If you get hired before you finish school, you can always finish while on the job.

    I've only been on the stand one time, I was on there for about 20 minutes. I arrested someone for a DUI.

    Have you ever read anything by David Baldacci? He is really good, start with Split Second or Stone Cold.

    Information on Police Academy

    If you were told you will find out during orientation then you should wait. I understand you want to be prepared and you are excited, but don't be that guy. For now just keep up with pushups, situps and running. Before you know it, your day will be here.

    Suprisingly just one time. We had a suspect that committed an armed robbery at liquor store, I chased him for about two blocks when he gave up.

    As long as you don't have any bad credit or any debt, you should be good.

    I think you flagging is good enough. If you want you can call the non emergency number for your PS and inform them. However most Police Departments have someone that go on those kind of sites and look for illegal activity.

    It will take alot for you to move away from friends and family and to become a police officer. You need to make sure you are totally committed to go into LE.

    What do you guys think of TCCC training?

    I just completed TCCC training with my PD. I think all LEO's should have this sort of training in the beginning of their career.

    Learn another language, I would recommend Spanish.

    What is the hardest thing you had to do as a police officer?

    Notifying the next of kin. It's very difficult to go to the door and ring the doorbell. She answers with two small children at her side and looks at you as you stand there with your hat in your hand. She knows why you're there.
